CORTIS’s “GO!” is still climbing, and the numbers behind it are hard to ignore. The track recently passed 200 million streams on Spotify, nine months after its release.

CORTIS is a five-member group from BigHit Music made up of Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Keonho. They call themselves a “Young Creator Crew,” and every member is credited on their work. The group’s name comes from the phrase “color outside the lines,” which is also the title of their debut EP. “GO!” opens that EP and served as their first statement to the world.

The sound is sharp and minimal. A stripped-back trap beat sits beneath crisp synth layers, and the track moves between hip-hop and pop with real confidence.
