1000 By NCT WISH

NCT WISH’s “1000” is a B-side that refuses to stay in the background. More than a year after release, the song keeps finding new listeners.

NCT WISH is a Japanese-Korean boy group and sub-unit of NCT, made up of Sion, Riku, Yushi, Jaehee, Ryo, and Sakuya. They are known for a bright, youthful image and playful, Gen Z energy. “1000” is the fourth track on their second Korean mini album, poppop, released April 14, 2025, through SM Entertainment. It was written by Paprikaa, Lim Jung-woo, and Dana, with Paprikaa handling the arrangement.

The song is a cute, bouncy confession built around the idea of folding a thousand paper cranes for someone you like. Musically, it mixes dance-pop with R&B and club influences. Soft, playful bass, pluck-style synth sounds, and a nostalgic lo-fi guitar give it a sweet, dreamy texture, and the arrangement keeps shifting between verse and chorus to hold your attention.

I couldn’t verify one specific trigger for this week’s attention, but the song clearly has fan momentum. Lyric videos, dance clips, and fan edits of “1000” circulate widely on TikTok, and the track shows up among the group’s top songs on streaming tracking data. NCT WISH has also kept its profile high, with the group’s “Cham Cham Cham” short becoming the first K-pop boy group video on YouTube Shorts to pass 100 million views. “1000” resonates because it captures the shy, nervous thrill of a first crush with a melody you can hum for days.

MusicPorta says: “1000” is charming in the best way. The bass is soft but playful, the synths sparkle without overpowering the vocals, and the lo-fi guitar adds a warm, nostalgic touch. The six members sound relaxed and sincere, which makes the confession feel real. It is a small song with a big, sweet heart.

“1000” is an exciting track with captivating energy, impressive delivery, and a memorable sound. Make sure you listen to this impressive song and add it to your playlist today.
