Bass Persuades By Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus, now performing under the simple mononym Miley, has kicked off a bold new era with “Bass Persuades,” the title track from her upcoming tenth studio album and her first release through Atlantic Records.

Cyrus has spent her career defying easy categorization, moving fluidly between pop, rock, and country while always finding a way to make each reinvention feel authentic. “Bass Persuades” marks another clear turn, arriving as her first project since departing Columbia Records and dropping her surname from her artistic identity altogether, a signal of just how intentional this new chapter is meant to be.

The song itself goes full dance pop, built around shimmering ’80s inspired synths and a spoken word opening verse that carries a cool, deadpan delivery. Cyrus commands the track with confidence, guiding listeners through a night out atmosphere that leans unapologetically into the dance floor, echoing the energy of recent cuts like “Walk of Fame” while pushing further into retro synth territory.

The title track’s release on September 3 set off immediate excitement for the album, arriving just two days after the surprise announcement of the record and her name change. Cyrus is backing the release with a live return as well, booking two shows at the Hollywood Bowl in October, giving fans their first chance to hear this new sound performed live.

“Bass Persuades” is a confident, glittering reintroduction, Miley leaning fully into a retro dance floor sound and making it feel like her own. The vocal delivery carries real swagger, and the production has a polish that suits this new chapter well. It’s an exciting first step into an era that clearly has a strong point of view.

“Bass Persuades” is an exciting track with captivating energy, impressive delivery, and a memorable sound. Make sure you listen to this impressive song and add it to your playlist today.
