Umar M Shareef’s “Ta Rikitani” is a song Hausa music fans keep passing along. It sits at the center of his album Soyayya Ta, and it has built its own following since the project arrived in December 2025.

Born in Kaduna in 1989, Umar M Shareef is a Hausa singer and producer in Kannywood, and he is also an actor. His career rests on romantic songs and storytelling, and his voice is always the focus. That steady identity is why listeners trust a new Shareef track before they have even pressed play.

“Ta Rikitani” is the fifth of eight songs on Soyayya Ta, released on December 19, 2025. It runs just over three minutes, platforms list it as pop, and Shareef is credited as songwriter and composer. The release came through Shareef Studios Invest Nig Ltd, and a visualizer video is available on his official YouTube channel.

The title reads as a short, emotional line about love leaving someone unsettled, and that fits the mood of the album around it. Shareef has always written like a narrator, so a title with this kind of personal pull invites the listener to lean in. In a project full of warm love songs, this track adds a note of uncertainty that makes the album feel more human.

Fans are clearly responding. The song has passed 289,000 plays on YouTube Music and appears among his top songs on Apple Music. Fan accounts on Hausa TikTok have also posted clips with its title in the caption. If you are asking why “Ta Rikitani” is trending, a strong album, a relatable title, and active sharing from fans are the likely reasons.

Once you have heard it, go through the full album and then try his newer singles such as “DADI.” Earlier albums including Ni Da Ke, Farin Jini, and Lokaci Yayi show how consistent his writing has been over the years. Use his official pages and recognized streaming platforms to follow what he releases next.
